Core Direction: By 2030, the Industrial Internet Enters a New Stage of Deep Integration
On June 30, 2026, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and seven other ministries released the 'Implementation Opinions,' clearly stating that by 2030, the industrial internet will achieve broader coverage, deeper integration, and higher-level development, elevating the convergence of the real economy and digital economy to a new stage.
Key Targets: Clear Goals for 5G Private Networks, Platforms, and Industrial Scale
The plan aims to build 50,000 industrial 5G private networks, develop around five world-class integrated platforms, achieve full coverage across all 207 mid-level industrial categories, reach an 80% adoption rate of safety classification and grading among large-scale enterprises in key industries, and surpass RMB 2.5 trillion in added value of the core industrial internet sector.
Strategic Foundation: Building on the 2017 Guidelines Toward a New Phase of Large-Scale Deployment
Based on the comprehensive achievement of 2025 targets, the 'Implementation Opinions' further refines tasks outlined in the original 'Guiding Opinions,' focusing on five core systems—networking, identification, platforms, data, and security—and strengthening technological supply and cross-sector collaboration to support the development of new quality productive forces.
