China Leads Development of Over 60 International Standards for New Energy Vehicles

China has spearheaded the development of over 60 international standard regulations, covering critical areas such as electric vehicle safety and autonomous driving systems. At the 43rd APEC Automotive Dialogue meeting, China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology emphasized its commitment to jointly building a sustainable and equitable automotive industry ecosystem.

Key Metrics: Dual Breakthroughs in Standards and Technology

A total of 237 national and industry standards for intelligent connected new energy vehicles have been published, with 103 additional standards under development. Over 57,000 kilometers of roads have been opened for testing intelligent connected vehicles. Semi-solid-state batteries have entered vehicle applications, and ultra-fast charging technology capable of charging to 80% in 15 minutes is now in mass production.
