[Technological Breakthrough] BYD has launched its second-generation Blade Battery and flash charging technology, overcoming the longstanding challenges of slow charging and poor low-temperature charging performance.

Key Highlights: 70% in 5 Minutes, 97% in 9 Minutes

On March 5, 2026, BYD unveiled its second-generation Blade Battery and flash charging technology in Shenzhen, achieving the world’s fastest mass-produced charging speeds: 10% to 70% in just 5 minutes and 10% to 97% in only 9 minutes. Even at minus 30 degrees Celsius, charging takes merely 3 minutes longer than under normal temperature conditions.

Strategic Foundation: Solving the “Impossible Triangle” with “Five Good, Nine Full, Three Cold”

Through integrated innovation in safety, ultra-fast charging, and full-temperature adaptability, BYD has eliminated user pain points such as “range anxiety” and “low-temperature charging difficulty,” marking the official conclusion of the first half of the electrification era.

Industry Impact: 20,000 Flash Charging Stations by Year-End, Ushering in the Flash Charging Era

Simultaneously, BYD launched its “Flash Charge China” initiative, planning to build 20,000 flash charging stations by the end of 2026 and offering vehicle owners one year of free flash charging benefits, driving a comprehensive upgrade in energy replenishment experience for new energy vehicles.
