BYD Partners with KFC to Launch 9-Minute Energy Replenishment Ecosystem

[Cross-Industry Collaboration] BYD and KFC have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to create a new '9-minute one-stop energy replenishment ecosystem' for both people and vehicles.

Core Initiative: Simultaneous Charging and Meal Pickup in 9 Minutes

Users can place and pay for their orders via BYD’s intelligent voice system while en route. Upon arrival at a KFC Drive-Thru location, they simply roll down their window to collect their meal while charging their vehicle at an adjacent ultra-fast charging station—achieving the dual goal of 'fully charged car, fully satisfied driver.'

Key Performance Metric: 10% to 97% State of Charge in Just 9 Minutes

Leveraging BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery, next-generation ultra-fast chargers, and an all-temperature-range thermal management system, charging efficiency has been significantly enhanced. The collaboration will first introduce smart ordering functionality on the Fangchengbao Bao 7 model, gradually expanding to additional core vehicle models.

Strategic Foundation: Deep Integration of Mobility and Dining Scenarios

By combining strengths in new energy vehicles and quick-service retail, both parties directly address users’ dual pain points of 'charging plus dining,' establishing a high-frequency, highly efficient service loop.
