BYD Rolls Out Its 16 Millionth New Energy Vehicle
[Industry Milestone] BYD's 16 millionth new energy vehicle rolled off the production line at its Changsha plant—the world's first second-generation Denza D9.
Core Development: Denza D9 Sets Benchmark as Technology Flagship
The second-generation Denza D9, the first mass-produced MPV equipped with second-generation Blade Battery, has a pre-sale price range of RMB 389,800 to 489,800. The all-electric version delivers a range of 800 km, while the plug-in hybrid variant offers 401 km of pure electric range. It supports 5-minute energy replenishment and can be fully charged in 9 minutes; even at -30°C, low-temperature charging takes only 3 minutes longer than under normal conditions.
Key Metrics: Dual Breakthroughs in Sales and R&D
In 2025, BYD achieved vehicle sales of 4.6 million units, including overseas sales exceeding 1.04 million units, reaching 119 countries. The company invested RMB 63.4 billion in R&D for the year, bringing its cumulative R&D investment to over RMB 240 billion.
Strategic Foundation: Accelerating Globalization and Charging Infrastructure
BYD is simultaneously advancing its "Flash Charge China" initiative, targeting the construction of 20,000 flash charging stations by the end of 2026. All models will come standard with the God’s Eye 5.0 intelligent driving system, reinforcing its high-end smart EV strategy.
