Xiaomi SU7 Tops Sales Chart for Sedans Priced Above RMB 200,000

[Market Performance] The Xiaomi SU7 claimed the top spot in sedan sales for vehicles priced above RMB 200,000 in May 2026.

Core Trend: New SU7 Leads Premium Sedan Segment for Two Consecutive Months

The Xiaomi SU7 topped the market for sedans priced above RMB 200,000 (including both fuel-powered and new energy vehicles) in May 2026 with 24,023 units sold, and also secured the highest cumulative sales in this segment from January to May. Despite undergoing a three-month production halt for model transition, it made a strong comeback, leading the segment for two consecutive months starting from April.

Key Metrics: Significantly Ahead of Model 3 and BBA Competitors

Cumulative sales from January to May reached 60,082 units, far surpassing the Model 3's 52,176 units; its monthly sales volume is approximately 2–3 times that of comparable BBA models. The new generation comes standard with dual-chamber air suspension and 265mm-wide rear tires, and incorporates tuning expertise honed at the Nürburgring.

Strategic Foundation: Ecosystem Synergy and User Loyalty Build a Competitive Moat

83% of owners also use Xiaomi smartphones. Leveraging Xiaomi’s integrated human-car-smart home ecosystem, the SU7 delivers industry-leading infotainment smoothness and intelligent interconnectivity. On long-distance trips between Beijing and Shanghai, it requires only one charging stop, offering a driving experience nearly on par with fuel-powered vehicles.
