[New Vehicle Launch] Volkswagen Anhui, a joint venture under Volkswagen Group, has launched pre-sales for its first all-electric SUV under the Gold Label Volkswagen brand—the Zhiyin 08—with a pre-sale price range of RMB 239,900 to RMB 299,900.

As the first mass-produced model co-developed by Volkswagen and XPeng, the Zhiyin 08 is built on the CEA platform and went from project initiation to production in just 24 months, demonstrating the accelerated pace of Volkswagen’s R&D system in China. The vehicle will officially launch on April 16.

Key Specifications: 730 km Range + 800V High-Voltage Architecture

It offers 82 kWh / 95 kWh battery options, delivering a maximum CLTC-rated range of 730 km. The model debuts Volkswagen’s 800V silicon carbide platform, enabling 150 km of range replenishment in just 5 minutes. Its dimensions measure 5000 × 1954 × 1672 mm, with a wheelbase of 3030 mm.

Strategic Foundation: Addressing the Intelligence Gap

The Zhiyin 08 is equipped with dual Turing AI chips (1500 TOPS), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P cockpit chip, and an end-to-end VLA large model, along with 26 perception sensors, marking Volkswagen’s “hardcore counteroffensive” in the intelligent EV segment.
