SVOLT Energy Secures GAC Group's LFP Battery Nomination
[Supply Chain Collaboration] SVOLT Energy has been nominated by GAC Group to supply lithium iron phosphate (LFP) traction batteries, with deliveries expected in the first half of 2027.
Core Development: SPS Solution Deployed in New GAC Project
Guangzhou SVOLT, a wholly owned subsidiary of SVOLT Energy, recently received an official nomination notice from GAC Group to develop LFP batteries based on its SPS Super Pouch Cell Battery Solution for use in new energy passenger vehicles.
Key Metrics: Outstanding Performance and Platform Advantages
The SPS solution features a cell-to-pack (CTP), module-free design, achieving a volumetric utilization rate of up to 85%. It supports 8-minute fast charging for a 600-kilometer range, offers over 1,000 kilometers of single-charge driving range, and has passed the stringent "ten-nail penetration" thermal runaway test. This platform is adaptable to multiple chemistries—including NCM, LFP, and sodium-ion—and compatible with various vehicle models.
Strategic Foundation: Deepening Partnership with GAC and Expanding LFP Applications
This nomination marks a continuation of the long-standing collaboration between the two parties and represents a critical breakthrough for SVOLT’s LFP battery products in the passenger vehicle market. It will help shorten development cycles, reduce manufacturing costs, and accelerate the large-scale deployment of the SPS solution.
