Seres Launches New Youth-Oriented EV Brand 'Serdou' in Strategic Shift

[New Brand Launch] Seres, in collaboration with ByteDance and other partners, has unveiled a new automotive brand named 'Serdou,' targeting the youthful market segment priced between RMB 100,000 and RMB 200,000.

Core Development: Serdou Tech to Launch New Brand in June, Operating Independently from Aito Channels

Chongqing Landian Technology was officially renamed Chongqing Serdou Technology Co., Ltd. on May 29, 2026, and will serve as the operating entity for the new brand. Positioned as youth-oriented and sporty, the new brand is strategically differentiated from Aito and will be officially launched in June 2026.

Key Figures: RMB 6.67 Billion Capital Increase Attracts Multiple Investors

Serdou Technology has secured investments from CATL, Bojun Technology, and Xingyu Shares, among others. Shaci Zhiyuan has become the largest single shareholder with a 34.5005% stake. Seres waived its preemptive subscription rights, resulting in a total capital injection of RMB 6.67059 billion.

Strategic Foundation: Deep ByteDance Involvement; Dual-Powertrain Models to Launch This Year

The first crossover vehicle will be manufactured at the Seres Phoenix Plant, offering both battery electric and extended-range electric powertrains. Intelligent features will be powered by Volcano Engine, with simultaneous deployment planned for domestic and overseas markets.
