Porsche China Streamlines Its Dealer Network Amid Industry Shift
[Channel Adjustment] Porsche China has revoked the sales authorizations of four dealerships, though their after-sales services will continue to operate as usual.
Key Development: Sales Operations Cease at Four Porsche Centers
The Porsche Centers in Jining, Shandong, Huai’an, Jiangsu, and Xingning, Nanning, Guangxi ceased sales operations on June 30. The center in Wuhu, Anhui will stop sales on July 31. All locations will retain after-sales services that meet Porsche’s standards.
Strategic Rationale: Network Consolidation Driven by a “Quality Over Quantity” Approach
In response to market dynamics and industry transformation, Porsche China is deepening its channel optimization while respecting partners’ autonomous decisions. Customers from affected locations are being redirected to nearby cities—for example, Huai’an clients are being served by centers in Yangzhou and Xuzhou, while Jining’s operations have been integrated into the Zibo Porsche Center network.
Industry Impact: Premium Brands Accelerate Channel Upgrading
This move reflects a broader trend among luxury automakers, who—under sales pressure—are shifting focus toward building more efficient, high-quality service networks to enhance customer experience rather than pursuing blind expansion.
