NIO ES9 Launches with Battery-as-a-Service Starting at RMB 390,000

[New Vehicle Launch] NIO officially launched the ES9, with a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) starting price of RMB 390,000.

Core Development: BaaS Entry Price Drops to RMB 390,000

On May 27, NIO introduced the ES9, its flagship large all-electric SUV, priced from RMB 498,000 to RMB 628,000. With the battery leasing option, the price drops to RMB 390,000–520,000. The Executive Luxury Edition, Executive Signature Edition, and Horizon Special Edition are all available at launch.

Key Specifications: Premium Hardware Standard Across All Trims

The ES9 measures 5,365/2,029/1,870 mm (length/width/height) with a wheelbase of 3,250 mm. It features a 900V high-voltage architecture, NIO’s self-developed Shenji NX9031 chip, and a fully active suspension system. The interior includes a 48-inch 5K Skyline digital display and over 8 square meters of Nappa leather.

Strategic Foundation: Strengthening the Premium Battery Swap Ecosystem

NIO is also rolling out multiple upgrade vouchers for existing owners, including those of the ONVO L90 and ES8 Founders Edition, offering up to 20,000 points in red envelopes, further deepening user engagement within its battery swap ecosystem.
