Hesai Launches World's First 6D Full-Color LiDAR Platform

[Technical Breakthrough] Hesai Technology has unveiled the world's first 6D full-color LiDAR platform and its proprietary Picasso SPAD-SoC chip.

Core Development: Full-Color Perception at Up to 4,320 Lines – LiDAR Enters the Era of "Experiential Dimensional Upgrade"

The Hesai ETX platform, powered by the in-house developed Picasso SPAD-SoC chip, supports up to 4,320-line full-color 4K ultra-high-definition point clouds, with a maximum detection range of 600 meters and the ability to detect a 15 cm × 25 cm wooden block within 150 meters. Mass production is expected in the second half of 2026.

Key Specifications: Industry-Leading Performance Across the Board

A single Picasso chip supports 2,160 lines, achieves a photon detection efficiency (PDE) of over 40%, and features a waveform decoding engine (IPE) that filters out 99.9% of noise, significantly reducing false positives and missed detections.

Strategic Foundation: Transitioning from "Spatial Perception" to "Spatial Intelligence"

Hesai also launched its AI hardware product Kosmo and a robotic power module, marking a strategic shift toward advanced intelligent systems.
