Haval Launches Global Naming Campaign for New Flagship Off-Road SUV

[New Vehicle Launch] Haval has released official images of its new flagship 'boxy' SUV built on the Guiyuan platform and simultaneously launched a global naming campaign.

Key Development: Codenamed 'HX,' Finalist Names to Be Announced and Open for Voting on April 10

Great Wall Motor Chairman Wei Jianjun personally initiated the naming campaign. Internal suggestions included names like 'H10' or 'HX,' with the 'X' symbolizing limitless imagination. The vehicle will enter its final voting phase on April 10.

Key Specifications: Equipped with Hi4 Plug-in Hybrid System and LiDAR

Drawing reference from the WEY V9X on the same platform, the new SUV is expected to feature a high-performance Hi4 plug-in hybrid system combining a 2.0T engine and electric motor, delivering a maximum engine output of 175 kW, and supporting an 800V high-voltage architecture. A LiDAR unit is integrated into the roof, signaling strong potential for advanced driver-assistance capabilities.

Strategic Foundation: Strengthening Haval's Off-Road Product Portfolio

As Haval’s first flagship model based on the Guiyuan platform, its rugged 'boxy' design, side-hinged tailgate, and externally mounted spare tire clearly position it in the premium new energy off-road segment, completing Haval’s strategic layout in the high-end off-road niche.
