Power Battery Production and Sales Data for February 2026 Released

[Market Data] In February 2026, China's combined production of power and energy storage batteries reached 141.6 GWh, down 15.7% month-over-month and up 41.3% year-over-year.

Key Data: February sales totaled 113.2 GWh, down 23.9% month-over-month and up 25.7% year-over-year.

Power battery sales amounted to 74.5 GWh (65.9% of total sales), down 27.4% month-over-month and up 11.4% year-over-year; energy storage battery sales reached 38.6 GWh, down 16.2% month-over-month and surging 67.3% year-over-year.

Industry Impact: Export share continues to rise, with exports in February reaching 23.9 GWh.

Of this, 16.9 GWh were power batteries and 7.0 GWh were energy storage batteries, accounting for 20.6% of total monthly sales. Cumulative exports for January–February reached 48.0 GWh, an increase of 24.6% year-over-year.
