National Standard for AI Agent Interconnection Released

[Policy Update] China has issued the 'Artificial Intelligence – Agent Interconnection' series of national standards to advance the era of AI collaboration.

Key Development: GB/Z 185–2026 Establishes Interoperability Specifications for Intelligent Agents

Guided by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the China Electronics Standardization Institute collaborated with over 70 leading enterprises to develop this standard, aiming to address interoperability challenges across platforms in areas such as agent identity recognition, capability description, and interaction protocols.

Strategic Foundation: Unified Standards Reduce Collaboration Costs and Support the 'AI+' Initiative

Intelligent agents are now widely deployed in sectors including industrial manufacturing, urban governance, and public services. However, the absence of unified standards has led to high integration costs and difficulties in trusted management. The new standard will enable efficient cross-sector collaboration among intelligent agents and lay the groundwork for future applications such as embodied intelligence.
