Two Ministries Launch Humanoid Robot Real-World Training Initiative

[Policy Update] The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) have jointly launched the 2026 Special Action Plan for Real-World Training of Humanoid Robots and Embodied Intelligence.

Core Focus: Driving the Leap from 'Functional' to 'Highly Usable' Across Three Key Scenarios

Industrial manufacturing, public service, and specialized operations are prioritized as key deployment areas, covering 10 provinces and municipalities—including Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangdong—as well as central state-owned enterprises. Standardized training facilities will be established within national AI innovation application pilot zones.

Key Targets: Achieve Deployment at a Scale of Tens of Thousands by End of 2026

The initiative aims to identify over 100 high-value application scenarios and enable routine deployment of humanoid robots in real-world settings such as production and manufacturing, healthcare and elderly care, and emergency response, thereby establishing a closed-loop cycle of "training–iteration–deployment."

Strategic Foundation: Addressing Bottlenecks in Data and Scenario Compatibility

Through centralized real-world training, the program reduces trial-and-error costs for enterprises and accelerates co-optimization of model algorithms, robot body performance, and real-machine data, supporting rapid iteration of embodied intelligence products.
