Chen Liqun (born 1940), a founding figure in China's lithium battery field, pioneered research in solid-state ionics, developed the country's first lithium battery, broke through critical patent barriers in materials such as lithium iron phosphate, and advanced the commercialization of sodium battery “in-situ solidification” technology. Ben De (born 1938) is the founding architect of China’s airborne pulse Doppler radar systems, having led the development of the nation’s first domestically produced airborne fire-control radar and guided advancements in phased-array and space-based surveillance radar technologies.
