Strategic Foundation: Deepening Localized Supply Chain Collaboration

Times Changan (Chongqing) Power Battery Co., Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of a joint venture in which CATL holds a 51% stake. The company has a registered capital of RMB 1 billion and is located in Beibei District, Chongqing.

Key Metrics: RMB 5.5 Billion Investment to Generate RMB 10 Billion in Annual Output

The project represents a total investment of approximately RMB 5.5 billion, occupies 1,000 mu (about 165 acres), and has a planned annual capacity of 25 GWh. It is expected to commence production in the second half of 2027. Upon full operation, the facility will generate annual revenue of approximately RMB 10 billion and create 2,500 jobs.

Core Direction: Supplying Batteries for Avatr, Deepal, and Qiyuan

The new plant will utilize CATL’s latest-generation battery manufacturing technology and primarily supply battery packs for Changan’s Avatr, Deepal, and Qiyuan brands. It will also form an efficient synergy with Changan’s Liangjiang Factory—located just 70 kilometers away—to enhance supply chain responsiveness.
