[Technological Breakthrough] BYD's second-generation Blade Battery achieves ultra-fast charging, long lifespan, and high safety simultaneously.

Core Development: Passes Nail Penetration Test After 500 Fast-Charging Cycles

After 500 fast-charging cycles (equivalent to approximately 15 years or 300,000 kilometers of usage), the battery was subjected to a nail penetration test while charging—and showed no fire, no smoke, and no explosion. In an even more demanding thermal propagation test, four cells were short-circuited simultaneously, yet no cascading thermal runaway occurred.

Key Performance Metrics: 97% Charge in 9 Minutes at Room Temperature, 12 Minutes in Extreme Cold

At an extreme cold temperature of -29°C, ten mass-produced vehicle models charged from 20% to 97% in under 12 minutes—only 3 minutes slower than at room temperature. Under normal conditions, the fastest charging time recorded was 8 minutes and 45 seconds (achieved by the Fangchengbao T3).

Strategic Foundation: Dual Assurance Through Technology and Warranty

Heat generation is suppressed and heat dissipation enhanced via a "lithium-ion high-speed channel" and an "all-climate intelligent thermal management system." The warranty has been upgraded: if battery capacity drops below 77.5%, it will be replaced free of charge, and the cells continue to enjoy a lifetime warranty.
