BMW China Officially Lowers Prices on Multiple Models by Up to RMB 301,000
[Market Update] Starting January 1, 2026, BMW China has reduced the official manufacturer-suggested retail prices (MSRP) for 31 core models, with the largest cut reaching RMB 301,000.
Core Strategy: Systematic Value Enhancement, Not a Price War
BMW China emphasized that this price adjustment is an implementation of its 'In China, For China' strategy, aimed at enhancing brand accessibility and competitiveness—not engaging in a price war.
Key Figures: Price Cuts Exceed 20% on Multiple Models
The i7 M70L drops from RMB 1,899,000 to RMB 1,598,000, a direct reduction of RMB 301,000; the iX1 eDrive25L sees a 24% decrease (from RMB 299,900 to RMB 228,000); the gasoline-powered X1 xDrive25Li falls 18% to RMB 288,800; and the entry-level 7 Series 735Li is now priced at RMB 808,000. Some models, such as the M235L, are now priced below RMB 300,000.
Strategic Rationale: Proactively Adapting to Market Shifts
This comprehensive price adjustment—spanning both internal combustion engine and new energy vehicles—reflects BMW’s accelerated efforts to align with evolving Chinese market demands and broaden its customer base by lowering purchase barriers.
