AITO M6 New Variant Price Cut by $7,000

[Market Update] AITO has introduced a new entry-level all-electric variant of the M6, with the starting price reduced by $7,000.

Key Development: AITO M6 Becomes Brand's Most Affordable BEV

On June 16, AITO launched the all-electric M6 Max ($32,000) and Max+ ($35,000) trims. Compared to the original long-range version priced at $39,000, these new models are $7,000 and $4,200 cheaper, respectively—even undercutting the AITO M5 EV’s price.

Key Specifications: Lower Cost Achieved Through Reduced Features

The battery has been switched from a 100 kWh ternary lithium pack to an 81 kWh LFP (lithium iron phosphate) unit. The Max trim omits the lidar sensors and air suspension. Range drops from 760 km / 715 km to 602 km / 630 km.

Industry Impact: Price War Spreads to Mid-to-Premium Segment

Following Xiaomi SU7 Standard Edition’s $2,800 price cut, AITO’s significant reduction in entry pricing signals that the M5 may soon follow with its own price adjustment, intensifying competition in the $28,000–$35,000 all-electric SUV segment.
