#Automotive Industry#Battery Industry Regulation and Competition#ADAS and Autonomous Driving Technology

[Policy Update] The 2026 High-Level Forum on Intelligent Electric Vehicle Development will be held from April 11–12 at the China National Convention Center in Beijing.

Key Focus: Advancing the 'New Four Modernizations' Strategy and the 15th Five-Year Industrial Layout

Themed around 'Promoting the intelligent, green, integrated, and international development of new energy vehicles,' the forum will feature an executive summit, an international session, and eight specialized sub-forums covering topics such as AI + automotive, powertrain systems, and commercial vehicle transformation. Academicians Ouyang Minggao of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Zhang Yongwei, Chairman of the China EV100, attended the media briefing on March 13, highlighting the critical role of global collaboration in industrial transformation.

Key Data: New Energy Vehicle Fleet May Reach 160 Million by 2030

Ouyang Minggao forecasts that by 2030, new energy passenger vehicles will account for 70%–80% of China’s annual new car sales, with a total fleet size of 100 to 160 million vehicles. He also noted that large-scale commercialization of solid-state batteries will still require three to five years. The forum aims to facilitate cross-sector supply-demand matchmaking and establish an efficient, results-oriented platform for industry exchange.
