[Executive Appointment] Yijing, the new automotive brand co-developed by Huawei and Dongfeng, has officially appointed its core management team.

Key Development: A Tech-Savvy Leader from the Post-80s Generation Takes the Helm of a Premium New Brand

Wang Junjun (born in 1984) has been named Chairman of Yijing Auto, while Zeng Qinglin (born in 1983) assumes the role of General Manager. Both are young executives who rose through Dongfeng’s ranks, with Wang holding a master’s degree in Power Engineering from Tsinghua University and Zeng boasting a background in Vehicle Engineering from Hefei University of Technology.

Key Credentials: Impressive Technical Track Record

At just 27 years old, Wang Junjun became Director of the Powertrain Design Department at Dongfeng Technical Center. Since July 2022, he has served as CTO of Voyah, leading the development of the ESSA native intelligent electric architecture and spearheading the creation of the Mach Power C15TDR engine, which achieves a thermal efficiency of 41.07% and has earned accolades including the “China Heart” Top Ten Engines of the Year award.

Strategic Foundation: A Pivotal Move in Dongfeng’s Independent Breakthrough Strategy

Yijing is seen as a new attempt to replicate Voyah’s successful trajectory. Wang Junjun’s simultaneous involvement with Yipai, Voyah, and Yijing enables a unique “internal synergy” model for resource integration, positioning him as the key orchestrator behind Dongfeng’s broader independent brand strategy.
