XPeng Refuses to Make Vehicles Priced Below RMB 100,000
[Strategic Shift] XPeng has explicitly rejected participation in low-price competition and is focusing on premium intelligent driving products.
Core Direction: No Low-Margin Models
At the launch event for the 2026 MONA M03, He Xiaopeng, Chairman of XPeng Group, stated plainly, "Producing cheap, low-margin vehicles holds no value," and confirmed that the company will not enter the sub-RMB-100,000 market segment. The new vehicle is priced between RMB 119,800 and RMB 151,800, and within 37 minutes of its launch, it received over 10,000 firm orders, with the high-end intelligent driving variants (Max/Ultra SE) accounting for more than 80% of total orders.
Strategic Foundation: Strengthening Intelligent Driving Capabilities
The newly added Ultra SE variant features dual Turing AI chips and second-generation VLA, commanding a RMB 12,000 premium over the base model—highlighting XPeng’s strategy of leveraging technological differentiation instead of engaging in price wars. He Xiaopeng also stated that L5-level autonomous driving could become achievable within 10 years, further solidifying the company's commitment to the intelligent driving赛道.
