The name is a homophone of 'Peng Cheng Wan Li' (a Chinese idiom meaning boundless prospects), emphasizing long-distance family travel and outdoor scenarios. Xiaomi filed a trademark application for 'Pengcheng' in April this year, covering automobiles and electric vehicles.
Key Specifications: Dual Models N90/N60 with 1,500 km Range
The new lineup includes the three-row Pengcheng N90 and the five-seater Pengcheng N60. The N90 features an integrated pop-up roof tent with an interior height exceeding 1.5 meters. It is powered by a 1.5T range extender and a 70 kWh battery, delivering a CLTC all-electric range of 400–500 km and a maximum combined range of 1,500 km.
Industry Impact: Goldman Sachs Forecasts Potential Sales of 240,000 Units by 2027
The vehicle is expected to appear in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) announcement on July 10, with a market launch slated for late August or early September. According to a Goldman Sachs research report, projected sales are 110,000 units in 2026, rising to a base-case forecast of 240,000 units in 2027, with potential to exceed this target under optimistic scenarios.
