Wei Jianjun bluntly declared at the April 17 launch event that dedicated EV platforms are a "false proposition" incapable of supporting global competition. Great Wall's newly introduced Guiyuan platform is compatible with internal combustion engines, hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), battery electric vehicles (BEVs), and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, achieving a 95% parts commonality rate and significantly reducing development costs.

Strategic Foundation: Multi-Powertrain Approach Expands Market Boundaries

Through the strategy of "one vehicle, multiple powertrains; one vehicle, multiple configurations; one vehicle, multiple segments," the Guiyuan platform is expected to expand the addressable market for a single EV model by threefold.
