Volkswagen to Launch 13 New Energy Vehicles by 2026

[Product Offensive] Volkswagen has initiated its largest-ever rollout of new energy vehicles (NEVs) in China, planning to introduce 13 new models by 2026.

Core Development: 13 NEV Models to Be Densely Launched in 2026

On April 8, during its Brand Night event, Volkswagen announced that its "In China, for China" strategy has entered a large-scale delivery phase. In 2026, the company will launch 13 new energy vehicle models covering battery electric vehicles (BEVs), plug-in hybrids (PHEVs), and range-extended electric vehicles (REEVs). By 2029, Volkswagen aims to have introduced more than 30 new NEV models in total.

Key Figures: Three Core New Models to Launch First

The Volkswagen Anhui Zhongyou 08 (CLTC range of 730 km, capable of adding 150 km of range in just 5 minutes of fast charging, with a pre-sale price of RMB 239,900–299,900) will be launched on April 16. The SAIC Volkswagen ID. ERA9X (pure electric range exceeding 400 km, combined range over 1,600 km, pre-sale price of RMB 329,800–379,800) will debut on April 25. Simultaneously, FAW-Volkswagen ID. AURA T6 will make its world premiere, built on a localized CEA electronic and electrical architecture.
