Two Tesla Executives Join Xiaomi Auto

[Personnel Changes] Former General Manager of Tesla China, Kong Yanshuang, and Song Gang—known as Tesla's 'ace plant manager'—have joined Xiaomi Auto to support its annual delivery target of 550,000 vehicles.

Kong Yanshuang joined Xiaomi Auto in early March and has taken charge of the company’s sales system. Song Gang, Tesla Shanghai Gigafactory’s first employee and a key figure in the localized mass production of the Model 3, has also confirmed his move to Xiaomi, strengthening its manufacturing capabilities.

Strategic Foundation: Building an Efficient Operational Base for Scalable Deliveries

Xiaomi is systematically recruiting talent with Tesla backgrounds. Currently, a significant proportion of provincial general managers and regional managers at Xiaomi come from Tesla. This strategy aims to leverage Tesla’s proven experience in building sales networks and ramping up production capacity in the Chinese market to achieve its 550,000-unit annual delivery goal.
