Skyworth Auto Signs Agreement with Bangladesh to Advance Localization of Hybrid Models

#Chinese Automaker Global Expansion and Competition

[International Cooperation] Skyworth Auto has signed a master cooperation agreement with Bangladesh Automobile Industries Limited for hybrid vehicle models.

⚡ Core Development: Another Strategic Move in South Asia

On December 30, Skyworth Auto announced a partnership with a local integrated automotive manufacturer in Bangladesh. The partner possesses the full suite of four key manufacturing processes—stamping, welding, painting, and final assembly—which will support localized production and channel implementation.

📊 Key Metrics: Accelerating Global Expansion

As of 2025, Skyworth Auto has entered 66 countries and regions. In Indonesia, it has achieved localized production of the POLYTRON G3 through a KD (Knock-Down) plant. Additionally, in November of the same year, it signed a cooperation framework with India’s Kaly Emotors.

🔍 Strategic Foundation: Technology Export + Local Adaptation

Skyworth centers its strategy on exporting its proprietary HT-i hybrid technology, combining right-hand-drive models with the KD model to reduce tariff barriers. Although its passenger vehicle sales volume remains modest, the company emphasizes its zero-fatality accident safety record and alignment with international quality standards.
