The Shangjie Z7 features a low-slung, wide-body stance, fastback silhouette, and an extended front hood, emphasizing the "golden ratio" proportions. It is equipped with a roof-mounted LiDAR, semi-recessed door handles, and frameless side mirrors, achieving a class-leading drag coefficient. Although its side profile has drawn comparisons to the Porsche Taycan and Xiaomi SU7, industry observers consider this a reasonable reuse of classic coupe design elements.

Key Metrics: Strong Initial Deliveries, New Model Poised for Launch

Shangjie’s first model, the H5, achieved over 10,000 deliveries within 43 days of launch and reached 20,000 units in 78 days, with a starting price of RMB 159,800. Built on SAIC’s Nebula pure-electric platform, the Z7 is expected to feature the advanced Qiankun ADS 4.0 intelligent driving system, Harmony Cockpit 4.0, and an 800V high-voltage architecture, further enhancing intelligence and charging efficiency.

Strategic Foundation: Huawei and SAIC Deepen Smart Selection Vehicle Collaboration

Shangjie is the fifth "Jie" (brand) jointly developed by SAIC and Huawei under the Harmony Intelligent Mobility ecosystem, operating under the Smart Selection Vehicle model. Yu Chengdong previously revealed that two new models will be launched by 2026, with the Z7 being one of them, positioned as the "most stylish and visually striking" offering.
