On January 7, SAIC Motor and Huawei jointly unveiled the second model under the Shangjie brand—the Z7—with a teaser image. Positioned as a premium coupe, the Z7 features design cues reminiscent of the Porsche Taycan and is equipped with a laser radar and semi-recessed door handles. On the same day, Xiaomi Auto officially announced that its next-generation SU7 will launch in April 2026, with a starting pre-sale price of RMB 229,900, a slight increase over the current model.
Key Metrics: H5 Deliveries Surge, Validating Brand Momentum
Since its market debut in September 2025, Shangjie’s first model, the H5, saw deliveries jump from 1,901 units to 10,672 units in November. By year-end, cumulative deliveries exceeded 28,000 units, making it the fastest-delivering model in Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility “Jie” series.
