[Corporate Update] Seres, in collaboration with ByteDance and others, has unveiled the AI-powered automotive brand AIVA. Its first mass-production vehicle, the ME7, is scheduled to debut in 2026.

Core Development: Seres Aims to Shed Contract Manufacturing Image Through New Brand

Serdou Tech (formerly Chongqing Landian), jointly controlled by Seres Group, ByteDance, Chongqing SASAC, and CATL, officially launched the AI-native automotive brand AIVA on June 9. The brand emphasizes the philosophy of "AI first, car second." Alongside the announcement, the concept car Origin Concept was also introduced. The mass-production model ME7 targets the market segment above RMB 200,000 and is planned for launch within 2026.

Strategic Foundation: Equity Restructuring Enables Independent Growth

In late May, Serdou Tech completed a capital increase and share expansion worth RMB 6.671 billion, bringing in multiple investors including Shaci Zhiyuan and Wending Investment, providing financial and technological backing for AIVA. Volcano Engine is deeply involved in the development of the intelligent cockpit, highlighting the strategic integration of ByteDance's AI capabilities with automotive manufacturing.
