[New Vehicle Launch] SAIC Volkswagen has officially named and released official images of the ID.ERA 5S, the second model in the ID.ERA series.

Core Development: The World's First Plug-in Hybrid Sedan with Urban NOA Capability

The ID.ERA 5S is Volkswagen's first plug-in hybrid intelligent family sedan and the world’s first sedan equipped with advanced urban NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) driver assistance functionality. It comes standard with the "Xingyun Zhi Xing" advanced driver assistance system and the "Yunqi Smart Cabin" intelligent cockpit.

Key Specifications: 1.5T Plug-in Hybrid Powertrain + Mid-size Sedan Positioning

The vehicle is powered by a 1.5T plug-in hybrid system, positioned as a mid-size sedan, and will be manufactured at SAIC Volkswagen's Changsha plant. It has already been registered with China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).

Strategic Foundation: Continuation of the ID.ERA Family Design Language

The exterior carries forward the design language of the ID.ERA 9X family, featuring integrated full-width daytime running lights, split headlights combined with air intakes, semi-recessed door handles, and a multi-link rear suspension, emphasizing a fusion of sportiness and intelligence.
