SAIC Motor will construct its first full-scale vehicle manufacturing facility in Europe at the outer port of Ferrol, in Spain’s Galicia region, dedicated to producing MG-branded electric vehicles, implementing its “In Europe, for Europe” strategy.

The project entails an initial investment of approximately €2 billion, with a planned annual production capacity of 120,000 vehicles, expected to create over 2,300 jobs. Construction is slated to begin in 2027, with production commencing by end of 2028.
