MIIT Launches 2026 Annual Vehicle Production Consistency Inspection
[Policy Regulation] The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has launched the 2026 annual supervision and inspection on production consistency for road motor vehicles.
Core Development: Strengthening Ongoing and Post-Market Oversight, Reinforcing Corporate Primary Responsibility
MIIT recently issued a notice to conduct two types of inspections on vehicle manufacturers and their products that have already obtained access permits: enterprise capability to ensure production consistency and product production consistency. The focus is on urging enterprises to enhance supply chain management and ensure continuous compliance with access requirements.
Key Data: Non-compliant Entities Face Three Types of Penalties
Enterprises failing to meet national standards or unable to maintain production consistency will face measures including public notification, suspension of the relevant product's listing in the Official Announcement, and suspension of new product applications, to safeguard market order and consumer rights.
Strategic Foundation: Advancing High-Quality and Sustainable Industrial Development
This initiative aims to elevate automotive product quality and safety standards, promote healthy and sustainable development of the automotive industry, and further solidify the compliance foundation for the era of new energy and intelligent connected vehicles.
