Under his leadership, Mercedes-Benz China has remained the brand’s largest single market globally for over a decade. He will officially depart after concluding his role as strategic advisor on April 30, 2026.

Starting March 1, 2026, current Executive Vice President of Sales Daniel Lescow will assume the roles of President and CEO. On April 1, 2026, Zhang Mingxia will take over as Executive Vice President of Sales, while Kang Yi will succeed her as CMO of the smart brand.
