Li Auto and Xiaomi Take Top Two Spots in New Energy Vehicle Resale Value Rankings

[Market Watch] The June 2026 rankings for new energy vehicle (NEV) resale value have been released, with Li Auto and Xiaomi firmly securing the top two positions.

Key Developments: Li Auto at 81.8% and Xiaomi at 81.4% Lead the Pack

Li Auto reclaimed the top spot with a resale value retention rate of 81.8%, followed closely by Xiaomi at 81.4%. Tesla ranked third at 80.7%, as all three brands continue to maintain strong positions above the 80% mark.

Key Data: Aito Declines, Voyah and NIO Rebound Significantly

Aito's resale value dropped from 81.3% to 76.5%, a decline of 4.8 percentage points, primarily due to promotional discounts on older M8 models and market expectations of a model refresh. Voyah surged to 74.3% (+8.8pct), while NIO rose to 69.0%, benefiting from the entry of the Dreamer MPV and the new ES8 into the used car market.

Strategic Insight: IM Motors Emerges as the Most "Cost-Effective" Used Option

IM Motors topped the "Worth-Buying Index" at 148%. Among traditional luxury brands, BMW (143%) and Mercedes-Benz (140%) showed clear advantages. Li Auto scored only 114%, the lowest among monitored brands, indicating its new vehicles offer better value than its used ones.
