Lexus Unveils Flagship All-Electric Three-Row SUV TZ
[New Vehicle Launch] Lexus has globally debuted its first all-electric three-row SUV, the TZ, positioned as the brand's flagship electric vehicle.
Core Development: TZ Built on Enhanced TNGA GA-K Platform
The Lexus TZ does not use the dedicated e-TNGA EV platform; instead, it shares an upgraded GA-K platform with the Toyota Highlander, distinguishing it from the RZ model. With dimensions of 5,100 × 1,990 × 1,705 mm and a wheelbase of 3,050 mm, it emphasizes a "mobile lounge" spatial concept.
Key Specifications: Dual-Motor System with 408 HP, Up to 530 km Range
The TZ features a dual-motor Direct4 AWD system, delivering a combined output of 408 horsepower and accelerating from 0–100 km/h in 5.4 seconds. The long-range variant is equipped with a 95.82 kWh battery, offering a WLTP range of 530 km (EPA-rated at 483 km). In North America, a 76.96 kWh TZ 450e AWD version is also available. It supports 150 kW DC fast charging, enabling a 10%–80% charge in approximately 35 minutes.
Strategic Foundation: Strengthening the Premium EV Portfolio
The TZ incorporates a spindle grille and L-shaped LED lighting, and extensively uses bamboo-inspired trim, recycled aluminum, and bio-based materials, blending Japanese craftsmanship with sustainability principles to complete Lexus’s lineup in the premium all-electric SUV segment.
