Leapmotor D19 Live Stream Shows Navigation Anomaly

[Technical Incident] During a live stream of the Leapmotor D19, the AR navigation interface suddenly displayed an anomaly, with the official statement attributing it to a brief rendering bug.

Core Development: Disappearance of AR Navigation Lane Markings Sparks Controversy Over Comment Section Status

On April 22, during Leapmotor's live broadcast of the D19's "Hangzhou-to-Beijing 1,000-kilometer Range Challenge," the center console AR navigation interface unexpectedly malfunctioned—the lane markings and surrounding vehicle information vanished entirely, leaving only the vehicle model visible. Throughout the broadcast, CEO Cao Li was seen repeatedly glancing at the screen with a visibly tense expression. Some owners noted this issue had occurred before.

Key Metrics: 74.3% Range Achievement Rate; Post-Drive Fuel Consumption Testing Planned

Cao Li revealed that in the initial phase, the range-extended version traveled 342 kilometers in pure electric mode, while the dashboard indicated a consumption of 460 kilometers, resulting in a range achievement rate of 74.3%. In the subsequent phase, the vehicle switched to low-battery (fuel-powered) mode and covered 490.7 kilometers. The company emphasized that the vehicle was manually driven throughout the entire journey and that safety was not compromised.

Strategic Response: Prompt Fix and Clarification on Rumors of "Comment Section Shutdown"

Leapmotor responded that the bug was fixed immediately and clarified that the comment section on its video channel remained open at all times, while on Douyin (TikTok), comments were never enabled from the start of the live stream, denying claims that comments were shut down following the anomaly.
