Honda to Launch New 'H' Logo in 2027 as Part of Electrification Rebrand

#Legacy Automaker EV Transitions

[Brand Refresh] Honda has officially announced it will fully adopt a new 'H' logo starting in 2027—the first major emblem overhaul in 26 years.

Key Development: New Logo Debuts on EVs and Hybrids First

Beginning in 2027, the new flat-designed 'H' badge will appear on the front and rear of all Honda battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), gradually extending across the entire product lineup as well as dealer networks, motorsports, and other customer touchpoints. The design first appeared on the 'Honda 0 Series' concept vehicle unveiled at CES 2024, removing the rounded border of the previous emblem and featuring a more open 'H' shape—symbolizing 'open arms' embracing the company's electrification transformation.

Strategic Rationale: Rebranding Reflects Electrification 'Second Founding'

This logo change represents more than just a visual update; it signals Honda’s strategic response to declining sales in China and North America, where annual sales have stagnated around 3 million units. The legacy logo will be phased out entirely after its final appearances on models such as the 2026 Prelude and Super-N, underscoring Honda’s firm commitment to its electric transition.
