Geely Farizon Showcases Methanol-Electric Solutions at Hong Kong Auto Expo

[Technology Going Global] Geely Farizon debuts at the 2026 Hong Kong Auto Expo with a dual-track strategy of 'methanol-electric + battery-electric' solutions, advancing diversified implementation of green transportation.

Core Developments: Dual Focus on Methanol-Electric and Robotaxi Deployment in Hong Kong

Geely Farizon exhibited its full product lineup at the 2026 International Automotive and Supply Chain Expo (Hong Kong), including methanol-electric buses, Super VANs, and the Robovan Shentong T6. The company also partnered with WeRide and Kwoon Chung Bus Group to co-develop a right-hand-drive Robotaxi GXR, marking the first commercial deployment of autonomous ride-hailing vehicles in Hong Kong.

Strategic Foundation: Tailored Solutions Addressing Hong Kong's Energy Challenges

In response to Hong Kong’s practical constraints—such as limited land availability and restricted charging infrastructure—Farizon proposes an integrated multi-energy solution. Leveraging the advantages of methanol-based energy replenishment, including rapid refueling and low dependency on infrastructure, this approach aligns with the needs of high-density urban areas undergoing green transformation, supporting Hong Kong’s 2050 carbon neutrality goal.
