Geely Fully Acquires Radar and Integrates It into China Star
[Brand Integration] Geely has fully acquired Radar Auto for RMB 218 million, officially integrating it into the China Star brand.
Core Development: Radar Fully Integrated into Geely's Listed Entity
Zhejiang Jirun acquired 100% equity of Radar Auto (Shandong) for RMB 159 million, while Geely Sales took over Radar Sales Company for RMB 59 million. Overseas platforms CIL and GAIL acquired Radar Thailand for RMB 490,000. Upon completion of the transaction, Radar's financial results will be formally included in Geely Automobile Holdings' consolidated financial statements.
Strategic Rationale: Completing New Energy Pickup Truck Portfolio
Since its inception in 2022 under an external incubation model, Radar has positioned itself in the mid-to-high-end new energy pickup segment, serving both commercial and consumer markets. This integration not only fills a product gap for Geely in this niche segment but also strengthens centralized resource management under the "One Geely" strategy.
Industry Impact: Independent Brand Likely to Disappear
According to reports, Radar’s sales channels and organizational structure will be fully merged into China Star, becoming its dedicated pickup truck lineup and ceasing to exist as an independent brand.
