GAC Unveils Five Core Technologies to Overcome Crisis and Accelerate EV Transformation
[Technology Launch] At its 2026 Tech Day, GAC unveiled five key technologies: Stellar Powertrain, Starship Body, Galaxy Smart Cabin, Stellar Architecture 4.0, and Chip Ecosystem.
Core Strategy: Integrated Technologies to Break Users’ Compromise Dilemma
The Stellar Super Hybrid system integrates a 1.5T hybrid engine and GMC 3.0 transmission, delivering a combined output of 400 kW. This enables mid-to-large SUVs to achieve 0–100 km/h acceleration in under 4 seconds, while fuel consumption enters the 3 L/100 km era. Its 5.4 kWh high-rate battery supports 2.2 kW vehicle-to-load (V2L) power output, 12-hour Sentry Mode, and full-vehicle OTA updates, offering low-speed pure-electric driving with near-EV levels of quietness.
Strategic Foundation: Technology-Centric Approach Amid Historic Losses
Facing a severe situation of 14% sales decline in 2025 and a staggering RMB 8.784 billion loss, GAC has adopted a 'technology-driven enterprise' strategy as its turning point. Through a fully in-house R&D technology stack, GAC is tackling the challenges of new energy transformation, emphasizing the motto: 'Root technology deep in the soil, and place users firmly in our hearts.'
