The first model under the ID.AURA series is built on Volkswagen’s new CEA electrical/electronic architecture and will make its official debut on April 21, 2026, followed by a market launch in the second half of the year. The vehicle features a LiDAR sensor mounted on the roof, enabling support for advanced driver-assistance functions.

Strategic Foundation: Joint Sino-German Intelligent Driving Technology Deployment

The vehicle will be equipped with a next-generation intelligent driving solution developed by CARIZON, a joint venture between Volkswagen’s CARIAD China and Horizon Robotics. Starting in 2026, this solution will be progressively rolled out across new Volkswagen models, strengthening the brand's intelligent driving competitiveness in China.
