[New Vehicle Launch] Dongfeng Forthing has signed an agreement with Huawei Qiankun Smart Driving, and their first co-developed model, the Star Ocean V6, will launch in the second half of 2026.

The Star Ocean V6 is positioned as a "smart, affordable, six-seater" vehicle built on a dedicated EV platform, blending design elements from MPVs, SUVs, and sedans. Its third-row seats can be stowed flush into the floor. The vehicle made its debut at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show and has already been registered with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).

Strategic Foundation: Deepening Intelligent Vehicle Collaboration Based on Seven Years of Partnership

Since 2019, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co., Ltd. (DFLZ) and Huawei have collaborated in areas including IPD systems, smart factories, and commercial vehicle intelligent driving. This latest agreement was signed by representatives Wang Wenyong and Liao Yong, advancing intelligent solutions for both passenger and commercial vehicles—particularly focusing on highway navigation pilot and driver-assistance features for commercial models.

Key Specifications: Launching in Second Half of 2026, Targeting Urban and Parking Scenarios

The Huawei Qiankun Smart Driving system will address three high-frequency use cases: urban congestion, long-distance highway driving, and tight-space parking, enhancing the product's competitive differentiation.
