Three Departments Deploy Safety Rectification for Intelligent Connected Vehicle Testing

[Policy Regulation] Three departments jointly convened a working meeting on road testing and pilot application of intelligent connected vehicles, deploying self-inspections, rectifications, and safety enhancements.

Key Development: Comprehensive safety self-inspections to begin on April 14

The First Department of Equipment Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Traffic Management Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security, and the Department of Transport Services of the Ministry of Transport jointly required all localities to comprehensively assess issues identified in recent testing and pilot programs in light of recent safety incidents, and to complete required rectifications within a specified timeframe.

Strategic Foundation: Establishing a national-local-enterprise three-tier safety evaluation mechanism

The meeting clarified that the autonomous driving management system will be improved, with strengthened oversight throughout the entire process and enhanced emergency response capabilities, to support high-quality industrial development through high-level safety.

Industry Impact: Testing and pilot activities to become more standardized

Relevant departments from provinces and pilot cities have already participated in the meeting via video conference, signaling that subsequent local policies will be accelerated, and unified standards for industry access and operations are expected.
