On May 28, BYD introduced the Song Ultra DM-i in five variants, priced between RMB 129,900 and RMB 159,900. The new model is equipped with BYD’s self-developed 4nm Xuanji A3 chip, an ultra-high-resolution LiDAR system with over 1,000 lines, and dual infrared cameras. Additionally, BYD offers a one-year urban navigation safety guarantee for the Tian Shen Zhi Yan A/B trims.

The vehicle is available in two pure electric range versions—205 km and 310 km—with a CLTC-rated combined range of 1,845 km. Styling continues the "Dragon Face" design language, featuring 19-inch alloy wheels, semi-flush door handles, and full-width illuminated taillights. Dimensions measure 4,850 mm (length) / 1,910 mm (width) / 1,720 mm (height).
