The Sealion 08 exceeds 5 meters in length and features a wheelbase over 3 meters, primarily targeting premium family users. It offers both six- and seven-seat configurations and continues BYD’s Ocean Aesthetics design language, equipped with LiDAR and flush door handles.

The all-electric variant is built on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0 Evo, featuring second-generation Blade Battery technology and ultra-fast charging capabilities, with a projected CLTC range exceeding 1,000 km. The all-wheel-drive version delivers peak power output surpassing 480 kW, enabling 0–100 km/h acceleration in under 5 seconds. The DM-i hybrid model achieves an impressive low fuel consumption of just 3.5 L/100 km under WLTC conditions when operating in low-state-of-charge mode.
