BYD Raises Optional Pricing for God's Eye B LiDAR System Amid Chip Cost Surge
[Technical Price Adjustment] BYD has increased the optional pricing for the God's Eye B LiDAR version due to rising storage hardware costs.
Key Update: God's Eye B optional price raised from RMB 9,900 to RMB 12,000
Affected by the global surge in memory chip costs, BYD announced that starting May 1, 2026, the optional price for the "God's Eye B Advanced Driver Assistance LiDAR Edition" will increase across selected models from Dynasty Network, Ocean Network, and Fangchengbao. Customers who place deposits on or before April 30 will still enjoy the original price.
Key Metrics: Intelligent driving system generates 180 million kilometers of real-world driving data daily
As of the end of March 2026, BYD’s ADAS-equipped vehicle fleet exceeded 2.85 million units. Compared to the C version, God's Eye B adds one LiDAR unit, enabling urban navigation pilot capabilities and is widely deployed on core high-volume models.
Strategic Foundation: Leveraging cost pressures to drive tiered deployment of advanced intelligent driving
Facing shortages of Class-D memory chips, BYD utilizes a three-tier hardware architecture (A/B/C) to flexibly match different vehicle price segments, ensuring user experience while maintaining its pace of technological iteration.
