BYD Raises Price of Intelligent Driving Option Package
[Technical Adjustment] BYD announced a price increase of RMB 2,100 for the 'God’s Eye B' intelligent driving option package.
Core Development: Package price raised from RMB 9,900 to RMB 12,000
Due to significant global increases in storage hardware costs, BYD has adjusted the pricing of the 'God’s Eye B' LiDAR-based intelligent driving option package for select models across its Dynasty, Ocean, and Fangchengbao series. The new pricing will take effect on May 1, 2026, and customers who have already paid a deposit prior to this date will not be affected.
Key Metrics: System relies on high computing power and massive data processing
The 'God’s Eye B' system integrates one LiDAR unit and an NVIDIA Orin-X chip (254 TOPS), enabling urban NOA and highway NGP capabilities. BYD currently has over 2.85 million intelligent driving-enabled vehicles in circulation, generating daily driving data equivalent to 180 million kilometers, creating substantial demand for automotive-grade storage hardware.
Strategic Rationale: Targeted cost pass-through amid premium intelligent driving expenses
This adjustment applies only to the optional package—base vehicle prices remain unchanged. Facing dual pressures from rising battery raw material costs and the phase-out of purchase tax incentives, automakers are adopting granular configuration-based pricing strategies to mitigate supply chain cost impacts.
